The refund policy at PrefireSkins fits in two lines. Until the trade offer is accepted, you can get a full refund. After the trade offer is accepted, the sale is final. Everything else in this guide explains why the line sits there, what each situation looks like on your side, and what to do when an offer does not show up.
Why the accepted trade is the line
A skin bought here is delivered the way every CS2 skin moves between accounts: as a Steam trade offer, sent to the trade URL you entered at checkout. Nothing changes hands until you accept that offer in Steam. Up to that moment the item has not moved, and the payment can be returned in full.
When you accept, Steam completes the trade and the item lands in your inventory. Steam does not undo completed trades. There is no button on either side that pulls an item back out of an inventory, and Steam Support does not reverse a trade because one party changed their mind. Once the skin is yours, it is yours, and the money that paid for it stays paid. That is the whole reason the sale becomes final at that click and not a minute earlier or later.
Situations, one by one
| Where you are | Refund |
|---|---|
| Paid, no trade offer received yet | Full refund |
| Offer received, sitting as pending, not accepted | Full refund |
| Offer received and declined by you | Full refund |
| Offer expired or failed before you accepted it | Full refund |
| Offer accepted, item in your inventory | Final sale |
The pattern is simple. If the item is not in your inventory because of a trade you accepted, the refund is available. If it is, the sale is closed.
Changed your mind
You can change your mind for any reason before the offer is accepted. You do not need to explain it. If the offer has already arrived, do not accept it. Leave it pending or decline it, then write to support@prefireskins.com with your order number and say you want the refund. If nothing has arrived yet, write with the order number and the same request.
After you accept
After acceptance the sale is final. That covers every reason. A price move on the market the next day, a float you did not read, a pattern that looked better in the thumbnail, a wrong account: none of these reopen a completed sale, because the item has already changed hands and cannot be pulled back. This is why the minute before you click Accept is the one that matters.
Read the offer before you accept
- Compare the item in the offer with the lot you bought: weapon, finish, exterior, and StatTrak or Souvenir where it applies. Every lot shows its exterior and, where known, its float from inspect data, so you have something exact to check against.
- Open the item inside the offer and inspect it. The render is there for this.
- Check your side of the offer. It must be empty. A delivery never asks for anything from you.
- Check the receiving account. The offer went to the trade URL you entered at checkout, so it is on whichever account that URL belongs to.
- If anything does not match, do not accept. Write to support@prefireskins.com with the order number and what you see. Before acceptance, the full refund is still on the table.
Until you click Accept, you can get your money back. After you click Accept, the skin is yours and the sale is closed.
If the offer never arrives
Three checks, in order.
- Check the trade URL in your order confirmation. Compare it with the current trade URL on your Steam account. In Steam, open your Inventory, click Trade Offers, then “Who can send me Trade Offers?”. The URL is under Third-Party Sites. If you have generated a new URL since ordering, or the one in the confirmation belongs to a different account, the offer cannot reach you.
- Check pending offers in Steam. On the same Trade Offers page, look at incoming offers. An offer that is sitting there waiting for you is not missing. If the mobile authenticator is on the account, also open the Steam app and look at the confirmations list.
- Write to support@prefireskins.com with the order number. Include the trade URL you are using now and what you see on the Trade Offers page. Support works from the order number, so put it in the first line.
One Steam rule to keep in mind. An item that changed hands in the last seven days cannot be traded again until that cooldown ends. If the item you bought is under a cooldown, the offer cannot be sent before it runs out. Support can tell you whether that is what you are looking at.
What to put in the email
- The order number. Nothing moves without it.
- What you want: a refund, or help with the delivery.
- The trade URL on the account you want the item on.
- What you see in Steam: no offer, a pending offer, a failed offer, or an offer that does not match.
Keep it short. Screenshots help if an offer looks wrong.
What a refund is
Prices at PrefireSkins are in EUR, and a full refund means the full amount you paid for the order. Payment goes through the methods listed at checkout. To ask for a refund, write to support@prefireskins.com with the order number. There are no partial refunds for items that were delivered, because a delivered item cannot come back.
That is the whole policy. Full refund until the trade is accepted. Final sale after. If you are not sure which side of the line you are on, do not accept anything yet and write to support first.
